Constitution

The Organisation is to be known as The Wirral County Darts Organisation and shall be a Full Member of the United Kingdom Darts Organisation (hereinafter referred to as UKDA), and a full member of The England Darts Organisation (hereinafter referred to as E.D.O.)

AIMS
To provide, manage, improve and promote the sport of darts within its geographical area and working together regardless of age, disability, ethnic origin, ability, sexual orientation, belief, political, and ability affiliation recognising the values of our many differences.

RULES:
The Wirral County Darts Organisation shall be governed by the contents of this Constitution. Both Wirral Mens and Ladies Superleague which shall be an integral part of the National League set up shall comply with the contents of this Constitution, plus any other rules and regulations laid down in the Superleague playing rules. The Wirral Darts Organisation shall comply with the rules and regulations of both UKDA and the England Darts Organisation in so far as membership of those Organisations is concerned.

OBJECTIVES:
The Wirral Darts Organisation shall organise and promote all aspects of the sport of darts within the current boundaries of the borough of Wirral and will not unless permission is sought to directly organise events in other areas.

The Role of the Chairperson

The Chairperson shall in accordance with The Wirral Darts Organisation Constitution, be responsible for ensuring that The Wirral Darts complies with The Wirral Constitution and all the relevant UKDA and England Darts Organisations (EDO) Rules and Regulations.
Responsibilities of the Chairperson:
  • Provide leadership to the Executive and General Committee
  • Ensure that all committee meetings are constructive and deal with issues that concern The Wirral Darts Organisation
  • Act responsibly as a figurehead for The Wirral Darts Organisation
  • Liaise with the media, actual sponsors and potential sponsors
  • Call meetings of the Executive Committee when required
  • Establish clear responsibility and accountability within the committee

The Role of the Treasurer

The Treasurer shall in accordance with The Wirral Darts Organisation constitution, be responsible for ensuring that The Wirral County Darts complies with The Wirral Constitution and all the relevant UKDA and England Darts Organisations (EDO) Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities of the Treasurer:

  • Be Responsible for all The Wirral Darts Organisation Accounts
  • Liaise with all executive committee members to ensure that they are aware of the financial status The Wirral County Darts.
  • Act responsibly at all times.
  • Produce a comprehensive financial report prior to the AGM each season for the Executive committee to view.
  • Produce a financial statement for the AGM
  • Ensure that all debts are recovered and monies owed are paid.

The Role of the General Secretary

The General Secretary shall in accordance with The Wirral Darts Organisation constitution, be responsible for ensuring that The Wirral County Darts complies with The Wirral Constitution and all the relevant UKDA and England Darts Organisations (EDO) Rules and Regulations.

Responsibilities of the General Secretary:

  • Ensure that all the players UKDA County Registration forms are completed and submitted within the relevant time scale.
  • Ensure that the UKDA results are reported in accordance with Tri-Nations rules.
  • To have a comprehensive knowledge of UKDA & EDO Rules and regulations.
  • To make sure all competition entry forms are forwarded to relevant darts bodies making sure that the information required is correct.
  • Act responsibly at all times.
  • Liaise with the Chair and Treasurer on agenda setting for all meetings.
  • Ensure that all matters arising from the meetings are appropriately dealt with.

The Role of General Committee Member

A General Committee Member, as a member of the Committee will be committed to the success of The Wirral Darts Organisation. They will act in accordance with The Wirral Darts Organisation Constitution, and all relevant UKDA and England Darts Organisations (EDO) Rules and Regulations.

Nominated general committee members:-

  • Appointed to stand as an assistant to an executive committee member, but will act as General Committee Member.
  • Ensure that they have an understanding of the role of the executive committee member.
  • Be prepared to deputise when required (with the exception of being a signatory)

The Role of the Team Manager (Men and Ladies)

The team manager as a member of the committee will be committed to the success of The Wirral Darts Organisation, and will be a member of the selection committee.

Responsibilities of Team Manager:

  • To work in conjunction with team captains.
  • Involved in the definition/administration of team rules
  • Abide by the team rules.
  • Promotes appropriate team behaviour and attitude (any problems with a player to be noted and brought to the attention of the executive committee at the next meeting.
  • Assist the committee in recruiting other players
  • Holds the players accountable for attendance at matches, and makes any changes necessary to the team to ensure a full playing team in the event of a player failing to attend.
  • Will introduce any new players to the current team and pass on any information deemed necessary to the team through team meetings.
  • Ensure that everyone is working willingly and enthusiastically in one common direction.
  • Encourage open and frank communication within the team.
  • Make sure that the relevant information, such as score sheets, averages, results are available at all selection committee meetings.

Responsibilities of Superleague Secretary:

The principle role of the Super League Secretary is the smooth running of the Super League.

Responsibilities of Super League Secretary:

  • To liaise with Results Secretary confirming reported results
  • To deal with any disputes within the league.
  • To report to the Executive Committee on a regular basis.
  • To inform General Secretary of any alterations to delegate or venue information, immediately, coping in all Executive committee.
  • To assist at County Matches and Events run by The Wirral County Darts Organisation. To maintain and update a comprehensive database of all Super League players information
  • To maintain and update a comprehensive database of all County players information
  • To make sure full results match results plus leg scores are available to be placed on The Wirral County Darts Website by Friday following a scheduled Super League fixture date.
  • To make available on request any/all information to Executive Committee.
  • To keep up to date all archive information

Management

The Wirral County shall be managed by a committee of not less than Six (6) and not more than twenty (20). Committee Members made up of Four (4) Executive Members Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer and Super League Secretary. And up to a further seventeen (17) Committee members who shall share the responsibility for the management of the Organisation The Wirral County Constitution. The Committee shall be required to act in all matters in a responsible manner and shall be made up of the following:

Any individual committee member whether executive or ordinary shall not act in any way that is deemed detrimental to the good standing of The Wirral County Darts Organisation.

The Organisation may, should they see fit appoint Honorary Members to their Committee, these positions will be awarded in recognition of out-standing services to The Wirral Darts Organisation and the Sport of Darts. Any Honorary Members will not be permitted to attend Executive meetings or have any voting rights within the Organisation or any of its events.

Elections

All committee members shall be elected for 1 year on a rotary basis, retiring each year but eligible for re-election. At the Annual General Meeting all Officers, shall retire from office, a retiring Committee Member may restand for election without being nominated. These Committee Members shall be deemed re-elected unless the Organisation at an Annual General Meeting expressly resolves not to fill the vacant position and/or reduces the required number of committee Members of the number of Committee members and the Nominee’s is greater than the required number of Committee positions.

In this case there shall be a secret ballot, with each Super League Team present being entitled to one vote. In the event of a tied vote the chairperson shall have a second casting vote.

The Organisation may from time to time by ordinary Resolution increase or reduce the required number of Committee Members.

All nominations for Committee Members shall be made by One (1) Super League Team and seconded by another.

From their numbers the Committee shall select Two (2) Members to represent The Wirral County at the Full Council Meetings of the UKDA Organisation and/or England Darts Organisation.

In the event of any Committee Member leaving during their term of Office. (for whatever reason) the Committee shall be empowered to co-opt new Committee Members to take their place, but only to maintain such numbers as were agreed at the Annual General Meeting.

Co-optees shall be permitted to replace persons leaving the committee until the end of the predecessors’ term of office but is permitted to stand for re-election.

Any Committee Officer leaving their position for any reason must put their request in writing/email. Any Officer failing to do this will be suspended from holding office within The Wirral County set up for a period of not less than 3 (Three) years.

The committee shall be empowered to appoint members of the committee and Super League Delegates for the purpose of forming a working Committee to organise particular functions on behalf of The Wirral County plus any suitable person not being a delegate or committee member for advisory purposes.

Any Committee Member considered by the Committee to be failing to carry out his/her elected responsibilities or act in a manner beyond their permitted role may be asked to resign from office. Failure to attend three (3) consecutive Committee Meetings without reasonable explanation will be one of the reasons which would constitute failure to carry out elected duties.

The Committee Officers may also call an extra-ordinary meeting to replace any of the Executive Councillors if they also fall under the “failing to carry out elected duties” role.

Meetings

The Wirral County shall each year hold an Annual General Meeting and shall specify the Meeting Venue and time not less than 21 Days prior to such a meeting, not more than fifteen (15) months shall elapse between the date of one A.G.M and the next. The purpose of the A.G.M being to receive accounts, elect the committee Members for the forthcoming season, to register new teams and to amend any rules if so required.

An Extraordinary General meeting shall be called by the Committee or Committee Member, if the need arises to amend (adding to) this constitution or to amend Super League Playing Rules, or if during the season an issue which is deemed too urgent or important to wait until the following A.G.M arises. The purpose of an E.G.M shall be for that relevant issue only.

Committee Meetings will be held at regular intervals to be decided by the Committee. On all issues concerning a vote, all committee Members will be entitled to one vote. In the event of a tied vote the Chairman will also have a deciding vote. No committee member may vote by proxy.

Meetings will be Executive (4 senior officials) monthly

Management Committee every 2 months

General Committee every 3 months.

Delegates Meetings will be held at the discretion of the Executive Committee. Each Superleague team will be allowed one vote on any issue. Each Executive Member will also be entitled to one vote. No Super League team or Executive Member may vote by Proxy.

In the instance of all Meetings organised by The Wirral County the Committee will decide the time and venue for such Meetings, giving notice when such meetings will take place and in all cases there must be a quorum of more than 50% of the combined Committee and Super League Teams present before any Meeting may proceed.

Any item a Super League Delegate may wish to place on the agenda of either an A.G.M.- or Super League Delegates Meeting should be in writing and handed to the General Secretary not more than Twenty One (21) days not less than seven (7) days prior to the date of the meeting.

Finances

All of The Executive Committee shall be responsible for maintaining the Organisation’s Finance in good order and shall appoint one of their members to be the Auditor. The Auditor will be supplied with such information required to enable him/her to prepare a comprehensive income/expenditure report. Should no auditor come forward the accounts would be deemed satisfactory. All areas of the activities of The Wirral County shall have its own Profit/Loss report, and the Executive Committee will have these reports no later than 30 days after the conclusion of the event, unless there are mitigating circumstances which prevent this from happening.

 All monies should be made Payable to The Wirral Darts Organisation, and shall be banked into an account of that name, at the Bank. All cheques issued must be signed by signatories of executive committee of The Wirral County Darts Organisation. These are the two/three authorised signatories on the account.

The Treasurer shall be responsible for keeping a record of the financial transactions of the Organisation, and producing a financial report at the end of each season.

A copy of the financial Report must be distributed to each Super League Teams Delegate (1) one per team and all Executive Committee Members.

All financial records, together with all correspondence relating to the Organisation, remain the property of the Organisation, and not any one (1) member of the Committee. In the event of a committee member leaving the Committee under any circumstances, all such correspondence and records shall be handed back to The Wirral County.

Any of the principle Officers of the Executive shall be empowered to enter into negotiations and formulate contractual arrangements with potential sponsors on behalf of The Wirral County.

 In the event of The Wirral County being wound up. The assets, funds, equipment and any proceeds derived from such winding up shall be transferred to another darts body, and not to any Member of The Wirral County.

County Team Selection

The selection of players to represent The Wirral Darts Organisation in the UKDA National Championships shall be done by two selection committees. One for the Men’s and One for the Ladies.

Each committee shall elect a chairperson who will be responsible for organising a meeting in reasonable time after the previous County fixture taking into account the time scale required by the County in fulfilling commitments to publishing information and informing players of transport and accommodation issues.

The General Secretary will send out the information to all relevant players and committee persons by letter/text message/e-mail /social media.

The method of selecting a player to represent The Wirral County in the UKDA Nation League shall be the use of averages obtained by a player playing in a previous UKDA County match, their current Wirral Super League averages, their current form and their previous availability. Information will be supplied by Super League Results Secretary and analysed by the panel and used in the best way at their discretion.

All members of the selection committees are expected to attend A & B matches for the duration of the previous UKDA County matches, in order to give a fair decision and to obtain a vote in the team selection for the next match.

It shall be the responsibility of The Wirral IT Manager along with the Super League Results secretary to have an updated list of both County and Super League averages for the selection committees.

 Only players who are officially registered with The Wirral Super League shall be eligible for selection onto the County Teams.

All new players selected to play for The Wirral County must first play in the “B” Team unless otherwise specifically requested by the selection committee.

In order to be eligible to be selected to play UKDA County games for The Wirral a Super League Player (men’s or Ladies leagues) should have played 3 super league games.

Players who have been selected to play in The Wirral County Teams must continue to play on a regular basis in The Wirral Super League. Failure to do this without adequate and acceptable reasons will result in them being withdrawn from their respective County team.

Should a player selected for an “A” team place miss a game with a VALID reason then that player shall be considered for an “A” place in the next game, depending upon results. Should an “A” team place not being available then every effort MAY be made to provide a place in the “B” team, this again will be dependent upon previous results. If no actual playing places are available then a reserve place shall be made.

Should a player selected for a “B” team place miss a game with a VALID reason then that player shall be considered for a “B” place in the next game, depending upon results. Should a “B” team place not being available then the player MAY be named as a reserve.

Should ANY player miss a game WITHOUT A VALID reason then every effort MAY be made to find a place in the team, however, depending upon results this MAY NOT always be possible.

 In the event of any form of dispute regarding a selected player then the executive committee have the right to overrule or amend any selections made by the selection committees.

Players representing The Wirral at UKDA County matches, must wear the uniform provided and the dress trousers or skirts in Black only and also only plain black shoes.

 Players MUST NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES wear Jeans or Jean type Trousers or Corduroys or track suit bottoms or sandals. Players MUST NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES wear headgear of any description unless it for religious purposes.

At all times players must conduct themselves as befitting representatives of The Wirral Darts Organisation, failure to comply with this will result in the most stringent sanctions being taken against any players failing to uphold the acceptable standards expected by The Wirral Darts Organisation.

National League Venue

The Wirral Darts Organisation must provide a venue to host all home matches that meets the standards set out by the UKDA and their rules.

The Wirral Darts Organisation must always receive payments or instalments in advance and never in arrears.

The Wirral Darts Organisation must ensure the venue complies with Health and Safety issues and provides certification to prove it is fit and safe for purpose.

The Wirral National League Teams and Superleague Teams shall have access to the venue on all required dates and shall to able to organise fundraisers for the organisations benefit.

The Wirral Darts Organisation have the power to not to allow access or remove  to/from the National League Venue of any persons they believe are there to cause issues for either National League Team or person in the venue.

Organisation

In the instance of an “incident” occurring in an event in which a Wirral player/team is participating, the respective Committee Member deemed responsible for The Wirral County party shall be empowered to suspend any Player or Official from all activities pending the result of a Disciplinary Hearing.

The Wirral County shall adopt the procedure laid down by the UKDA Code of Practice on Disciplinary proceedings in any matters concerning the discipline of any Wirral player of Official

The General Committee through their elected Officers will be responsible for Organising and Running of the County Darts Team and hold the final Responsibility for the Super League Rules and Discipline within the Organisation.

The General Committee through the powers invested in them at the A.G.M. is the deliberative body regarding all the organisations Policies.

All suggestions, enquiries or complaints, should be sent in writing to the General Secretary and a copy to the Chairman for consideration by the committee.

Eligibility of Players and Officials

No person who is, or becomes a Member or Official of or plays for any outside darts body shall be eligible to be a Super League Delegate or Committee member not withstanding that exception is given to nominees from The Wirral to other bodies and to members and/or officials of local darts organisations.

The Committee of The Wirral County shall have the power to declare any Tournaments under their jurisdiction as “Open” to all players or as a members only event. Any person who becomes ineligible under this rule shall remain so for a period of “18 Months” This period shall commence from the time and date of the offence when he/she was last a Member, Official, of an Outside Darts Body.

If circumstances arise where a decision is required concerning the “Eligibility” of any person under this rule, prior to a Full Committee Meeting being held, then in such cases the Chairman, General Secretary & Treasurer shall be empowered, after making initial enquiries into the matter, to make a temporary decision pending a final decision being reached by the Full Wirral County Committee.

The Wirral Committee may reduce this time period if they consider it to be in the best interest of The Wirral Darts Organisation.

Superleague

The Name of the League will be The Wirral Super League. The name may be changed by the A.G.M. vote to include any sponsors in the future, either globally or by section.

The purpose of this Super League shall be in part to bring together the best dart players in The Wirral to compete with and against each other and to provide the means wherein the UKDA-County selectors may have guidance (use of averages) as to whom they will select to represent The Wirral in their UKDA County matches. Also to encourage new members as a spring board to their future aspirations in all areas of the County.

Application for membership of The Wirral Darts Organisation shall involve acceptance of the rules and regulations laid down in the constitution of The Wirral County Darts Organisation.

Teams are allowed unlimited registration at £10 per person.  New teams must register and pay for a minimum 7 players (Men) and 6 players (Ladies). They must also pay the full amount of League Fees and a £50 bond.

A list of registered players should be forwarded to the S/League Results Secretary, with cheques or payments made out to The Wirral County Treasurer. All league fees must paid at the AGM for the Superleague Secretary to prepare the fixtures. The first player registration fees will be paid after the first game. Additional players may be registered at any time throughout the season providing £10 has been paid for their registration. These can be made on-line or by post. Any player that’s not registered by the following Wednesday of a match will be deemed as not registered and that players points will be deducted from the match score and the result altered to accommodate this change.

Only players whose names and payment appear on the registration forms paying £10 will be eligible for Members only events.

On match days all players must be available at the venue at the time of the draw. The draw must take place no later than 7.45pm(Men) 7.45pm(Ladies) and matches to commence 8.00pm (Men) 8.00pm (Ladies).

 No player can be substituted once the draw has been made.

No player can be selected for consideration into The Wirral County squad without first competing in a minimum of 3 Super League matches or at the discretion of the committee.

 Match results must be on completion of the matches by email for inclusion on The Wirral Webpage Results section by Wednesday evening following the Super League fixture. These results must include Match results and leg scores. Failure to comply with this will result in the team concerned being fined. These rules will be strictly adhered to. Fines and penalties will be imposed to any offending teams.

No Super League Matches can be played on dates where there are County games, delegates meetings or competitions organised by The Wirral Darts Organisation.

Each team must consist of 7 players in the Mens sections and 6 players in the Ladies Sections available on match days. On exceptional circumstances during the season, teams will be allowed to start the match with 4 Players (Men) and 3 Players (Ladies) the team turning up short must notify the opposing captain prior to draw taking place. If a match is played with 1 or 2 players short then both teams will only put 6 or 5 players (Men) 6 or 4 players (Ladies) in the draw.

Teams failing to fulfil their fixtures or any financial commitments shall forfeit the £50 Guarantee Fee and the players of such teams shall not be allowed to participate in further events, competitions or League matches organised by The Wirral County Darts Organisation.

The executive Committee reserves the right to refuse new members into The Wirral Darts Organisation Super League structure.

No venue may be used without the sanction of the Executive Committee.

Matches can only be cancelled by mutual agreement

No Team can cancel a match if they have already cancelled a game which is outstanding.

No Team can play in the second half of the season if they have not completed their first half Fixtures or do not have a new fixture date set.

Both delegates must inform the S/L Secretary in writing that they have consented to the change and supply details of the re-arrangement. If a team disapproves of a request to re-arrange a fixture then the match MUST be played on the original date.

Matches should not be cancelled for the express reason of playing in events from outside organisation which clash with scheduled Wirral Super League fixtures, special dispensation will be considered. The committee reserve the right to re-arrange fixtures should the need arise.

 During the season there are two mandatory events. One being The Wirral Cup Team KO. Teams must field at least one team of five players. Failure to do so will result in the team being fined £50 and losing 10 of its bonus points from the current league tables. The second event is the Divisional Individual Knockouts where each team should be represented by at least three players. Failure to comply will result in a £50 fine and only 10 bonus points, not 20, being allocated to said team at the start of the following season.

 Any team failing to attend any two out of three mandatory events will NOT be permitted into the league the following season.

Should a team drop out of the league or are expelled from the league during the season, if during the first half of the season then the recorded results so far ,will be removed. Teams that are removed lose the Guarantee Fee. Any players registered for such teams will become debt suspended and before they can sign for another team they must give permission to play by the executive committee

 There is no limit for Wirral Super League teams while playing for another County Darts Organisation, but those players may not play in Members only events but can still play in S/L K.O. Cup (The Wirral Cup) Teams contravening this rule may be penalised as directed by the Executive Committee. Teams may enter extra teams in The Wirral Cup at no extra cost.

 All Cup and trophies remain the property of The Wirral Darts Organisation and must be clean and in good repair at least 3 weeks prior to the AGM.

Should a problem occur during a match it must be noted on the result sheet then the incident reported to the Superleague Secretary. Failure to resolve the issue at this level will result in it being passed onto the Executive Committee for consideration at their next meeting.

Members of the Super League are expected to act as good ambassadors for the sport of darts whether players, officials or spectators at any events organised by or on behalf of The Wirral Darts Organisation and good sportsmanship shall prevail during all competitive play. Any member deemed guilty of violent or threatening behaviour during an event organised by The Wirral Darts Organisation will face expulsion or a possible lifetime ban.

The Executive Committee has the right to amend or make additions to the rules at any time.

The changes will then be put before the Delegates at the next AGM.

Playing Rules

Super League players may ask the score recorder for his/her score required if the match caller is not sure. Electronic score machines are not permitted but a computer screen projected onto a TV adjacent to the throwing area will be allowed. In the event of using conventional score sheets, chalk, crayons or marker pens must be used.

If a super league game is cancelled both teams must advise the S/League Sec immediately confirming the new date. No games can be played after the last scheduled fixture of the season under any circumstances, teams failing to comply with this will lose their Guarantee fee, will incur a fine and lose all their points gained in the second half of the season. There will be no exceptions to this rule.

When a player is selected to play for The Wirral County a shirt will be provided (although a possible cost maybe attached)

Super League Playing Format

  1. All games to be played to UKDA Rules.
  2. Teams to consist of 7 players (Men) 6 Players (Ladies).
  3. Mens Super League to be played best of 7 Legs 501 up straight start, finish on a double, no equal darts. Ladies Super League to be played 5 legs of 501 up straight start finish on a double no equal darts.
  4. The bulls-eye to count as double 25 (50) and the outer bull as a single 25.
  5. The actual score achieved and the score required must be visible in front of players and markers/referees.
  6. No prompting by the referee or score recorder will be allowed unless the player concerned first asks the referee/marker.
  7. A player may at any time ask what score he/she has scored or what score is remaining but may not be advised as to the method of achieving said score.
  8. The burst rule will apply in all games. i.e.; if a player scores more than the score requires he/she then reverts back to the score he/she required before the previous throw.
  9. Under no circumstances will prompting be allowed.
  10. There must be adequate lighting over the match board or Circular L.E.D lighting.
  11. One point is awarded to every player who wins during a match, and 2 bonus points added to the team achieving 4 wins (Mens) 4 games (Ladies) Should a Ladies match finish ‘3all’ then a 1 point bonus to each team will be awarded for the draw.
  12. Players can only play for one team in one season.
  13. If at the end of the season two teams finish on the same points total then the teams will be separated by the methods of “least legs Won.
  14. All teams must at their home venues provide a raised oche of a minimum of 1 inch and the said oche must be placed a distance of 7 feet 9 1/4 inches from the front of the dart board in a plumb line to the floor. The diagonal distance from the bulls-eye to the floor is 9 feet 7. ½ Inches.
  15. All venues to be of an acceptable standard and must provide a practise area and board.
  16. Teams winning the Mens and Ladies Super League Division will qualify to represent The Wirral in the Champions Cup and will be expected to field a full team at this event.
  17. The Wirral Cup Mens & Ladies events will be held annually and all teams have to enter at least one team in the event, failure to do this will result in penalties, see rule 20. Failure to attend this event more than once could result in the team losing their membership of The Wirral Darts Organisation.
  18. The format of The Wirral Cup Mens & Ladies events, are 5 players per team, Superleague teams can enter as many teams of 5 players as they like.

Travel

  • Any changes to fixture dates brought about by the county resulting in issues with transport will be the responsibility of the county
  • Any damage to seats, fixtures, sickness etc, Will paid for by the county who will in turn seek reparation from the person/person concerned.
  • Every player/spectator is responsible for putting their own luggage on the bus
  • Every player is responsible for their behaviour when on board the bus.
  • Players/Spectators will be duty bound to adhere to the rules concerning smoking & drinking of the coach company and in turn its designated driver whilst on the bus.
  • Unless in an absolute emergency, the bus will not deviate for any reason from the scheduled pick up and drop off points.
  • COACH IS PRIMARILY FOR THE PLAYERS SELECTED AND THE COMMITTEE. ALSO THE PARTNERS OF THE AFORE MENTIONED. ANY SPARE SEATS WILL BE AVAILABLE TO SPECTATORS. ONCE IT IS DETERMINED THE NUMBER OF AVAILABLE SEATS, THEY WILL BE MADE OPEN ON A FIRST COME BASIS. FIRST TO PAY MONEY INTO BANK CAN TRAVEL.
  • IT WILL BE THE SPECTATORS RESPONSIBILITY TO BOOK HOTEL ROOMS.

How Do I Get Selected to Play for the County?

  • A player must have played a minimum of 3 Super League Games before they will be considered for inclusion in The Wirral County Squads
  • A player will be selected if their averages are of the standard required to warrant a place in the County, this is of the desecration of the selection committee.
  • A new player will only be selected when there is a position available.

What do I do When I have been Selected?

  1. The Wirral County Captain will contact you to see if you are available.
  2. Also your shirt measurements.
  3. Also about hotel accommodation.
  4. The General Secretary will inform you of the nearest pick-up points for the coach if it is an away game, also the information on addresses, telephone numbers etc: for venue and hotel.
  5. You will be asked for details such as address, telephone number, e-mail.
  6. You will be asked to fill in County registration, and profile forms.

What you will be Expected to Do

  1. You will have to be present at 10.15am and report to the team Manager, at both home and away matches.
  2. You will be expected to stay throughout the duration of the match
  3. Should you wish to have a sponsor, on your County Shirt you may do so.
  4. The cost of an away trip is to be established and can vary per fixture, this contribution goes towards the cost of the hotel room and your coach travel. This must be paid on the day of the match or on a previous day.
  5. Should you chose to use your own travel arrangements, then you will do so at your own expense, and arriving at the venue at 10.15am
  6. Should you manage to get a sponsor then monies should be paid to the treasurer. This would cover your away trips and the cost of your shirt.
  7. It is your responsibility to make sure you are present at the pick-up points and the designated time, should you miss the coach and cannot make your own way you will be responsible for paying for your hotel room before the next scheduled match. Should you finish playing County Darts and do not pay the outstanding monies you will be suspended from all Wirral events until the debt is cleared in full.
  8. If you miss a match, note that it may not be possible to include you into the following County fixture, as there are restrictions within the UKDA rules.
